Cute! Did it work? Looks like you'd get some interesting designs on the meat!

Thank you! Yes, it worked really well. Very Thai style being made in a washing up-sized metal bowl (can't get those cool enamel ones with the flowers here). I didn't have strong enough wire cutter to trim the mesh but it turned out to be a convenient way to lift it off the barbecue when hot. Thus the "fancy" design.

Awww! I hope you're not too cold. If you can't barbecue you'll have to make do with a lovely pot of soup:-)

I love that, too! We actually created a similar BBQ grill once when we went on a canoeing trip and it worked great!

One of the things I love about being out in the bush/ wilderness is how resourceful you have to be and all the interesting things that evolve. I haven't been canoeing since I was a child!
