" I love Mondays " will be my new photo series. What do you think? A bit of positive thinking at the beginning of the week has never hurt anyone, has it?
You guys are no fun! How can you not like Vegemite?! Only joking. I know it's a acquired taste. I love letting my students try it when they have convinced themselves that it's going to taste like chocolate. Poor souls!
Thanks for the support on my "I like Mondays" project though:-)
Heather, I'm still with you! I'm one of those rare people who likes both Vegemite and Marmite. I was in the UK for a long time so I guess it was bound to happen!
For various reasons I've lived in 5 countries and travelled in quite a few in between. As such, most of my life is about exploring new ideas, discovering wonderful things and people, and food!I live in New Zealand, one of the most beautiful places on the planet, but my spiritual home is in Asia. This blog is simply my general ramblings to entertain my good friends, family, and myself. I am always happy to receive comments.
Enjoying my new space! See recent post for address.
what I'm reading now
Eat, Pray, Love Elizabeth Gilbert
I'm partly reading this because I feel like I should for some reason and partly because she's coming to the Auckland Reader's and Writer's Festival, which I'm getting involved in this year. But, I have to say I'm having a hard time getting in to it. Some parts are good and some parts are excruciating. I don't think I was the target audience.

I think its a wonderful, inspiring idea. Not so inspired by the vegemite but I believe its an acquired appreciation!
Great idea! The mug is great ...but I have to say that vegemite wouldn't exactly bring a smile to my face!!

Hi Marie!
Lovely project! I always say that if you can't be optimistic than you can ACT optimistic and the rest will follow!
I defend your right to love that salty, dark, "edible food-like substance" called vegemite!
Laura
Thanks Laura, fake it till you make it, right?
And thanks for the support. I'll recruit you as my campaign manager when I take the Vegemite show on the road.
We tend to go for marmite here in the uk but it's definitely one of those love it or hate it tastes
