Yes we do! It's yummy:) there's one place in Dublin where you can do this, so much fun. I miss Asian places where you can cook yourself on the table - too many safety regulations in Dublin :(
Fly Girl- I'm a "Recovering Vegetarian" so this is a veggie and tofu version. I now eat seafood (Thank you 3.5 years in Japan!)but haven't quite moved on to other meat yet. I am often tempted though but many years of being a vegetarian makes change a slow thing.
Niamh- Funny you said that as my husband and I were scheming in Japan as to how we could start an okonomyaki restaurant for cooking at your own table in NZ. We came to the same conclusion:(
Ann- I'm easily influenced by food pics. I should probably only look at them around meal times.
For various reasons I've lived in 5 countries and travelled in quite a few in between. As such, most of my life is about exploring new ideas, discovering wonderful things and people, and food!I live in New Zealand, one of the most beautiful places on the planet, but my spiritual home is in Asia. This blog is simply my general ramblings to entertain my good friends, family, and myself. I am always happy to receive comments.
Enjoying my new space! See recent post for address.
what I'm reading now
Eat, Pray, Love Elizabeth Gilbert
I'm partly reading this because I feel like I should for some reason and partly because she's coming to the Auckland Reader's and Writer's Festival, which I'm getting involved in this year. But, I have to say I'm having a hard time getting in to it. Some parts are good and some parts are excruciating. I don't think I was the target audience.
